Real Weddings: Jackie & Matt, a celebration at St Audries Park, Somerset

Jackie and Matt travelled from London to wed in Somerset – at the beautiful St Audries Park, on the West Somerset coast. I’ve photographed weddings at St Audries before, but I was particuarly looking forward to this one, as it was my first time photographing in the lovely, intimate church on site. It’s so close to the main house that (weather permitting!) the bride and groom were planning to walk from church to the house, leading their guests to the reception.

As a St Audries wedding photographer, you’re spoilt for choice for beautiful locations, as the house and the grounds are both stunning. More importantly, Jackie and Matt were a pleasure to photograph on their wedding day, as they are such a delight to know and to see together!

So, the sun shone, the wine flowed, and the speeches brought a few tears to people’s eyes – just as it should be. I was there to capture everything from the bride and bridesmaids’ preparations in the morning, right through to that magical first dance.  As Jackie is a doctor and nearly all of her bridesmaids were also in the medical profession, the chat whilst they put on their makeup and dressed was rather unusual, though – I think it was the first time I’ve heard catheters discussed on a wedding morning!

Congratulations Jackie and Matt – what a fabulous couple! Jackie looked absolutely amazing on her wedding day as well – Matt is a very lucky man! My wishes go out to you both for a wonderful life together.
