Gilly and Chris were blessed with the first really hot day of spring for their wedding at Sherborne Castle in Dorset - although I’m sure Gilly would agree that it was probably a little too hot to be wearing a wedding dress! However, the sweltering weather did mean that the beautiful Orangery at Sherborne Castle, where the couple exchanged their vows, was filled with wonderful light – and their guests were able to enjoy the stunning grounds after the ceremony.

As Gilly and Chris’ wedding photographer, I’m pleased to be able to bring you a selection of their wedding photographs. Gilly started her day at The Manor Hotel, Yeovil, where I was in attendance to capture her bridal preparations; and once the ceremony was over, the couple and their guests returned to The Manor for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.

In addition to the documentary wedding photography I took on the day, Gilly and Chris had arranged a little fun for their guests and provided a selection of props for their guests to dress up and have fun! I’ve included a couple of these shots too – after all, every wedding should be about laughter as well as love!

It was a wonderfully emotional day, punctuated by many happy tears from both the bride and groom (just check out how many of the images below have tissues with starring roles!). I can honestly say that I’ve never heard a groom’s speech before which was so heartfelt that it had me shedding tears behind my camera, so well done Chris, you’ve made a photographer cry!
